The Healthy Baby Project STORY
The Healthy Baby Project was born from a place of compassion for breastfeeding moms and a desire to create, educate, and connect a community of powerful mothers. I, Alexys Amuso, am a Registered Nurse that is passionate about caring for others and has showcased this throughout my nursing career. With a special heart for the little ones and their brave mammas, I have dedicated my time and efforts to learning more about infant education, postpartum care and the beautiful way that woman feed infants with their body. My schooling, certifications, medical experience, and desire to reach as many moms as I can led me to start The Healthy Baby Project. While The Healthy Baby Project does provide excellent in-home lactation consulting services, I strives to make the company so much more by creating a community of fearless moms. My ultimate goal is that all mothers can count on The Healthy Baby Project for consistent educational information, encouragement, and support.

Hello There! A few things about me: I am a tea lover, aspiring yogi (still working on the whole touching my toes thing), running machine, and I have a heart + passion for infant care. From an early age I always knew when I grew up I wanted to be a “Mommy,” so, it was a no brainer for me to jump straight into a BSN (Bachelor in Science & Nursing) program once I graduated high school. Being a nurse & using my skills to care for little ones & their brave mamas was never a question for me. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with honors & furthered my education by getting my Masters in Nursing & my Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I am so excited to be a small part of the intimate moments that make up raising an infant. That being said, I understand that inviting me into your home for a lactation consultation can be nerve-racking and requires a lot of trust. I understand the importance of partnering with you to ensure you feel both safe and supported at all times. I cherish all of the moms I get to work with and look forward to working with you.
CPR/First Aid Certified, (6+) years of Community Health In-home experience working with Mom’s and Babies and experience working with premature/substance exposed newborns.
